San Antonio— The company that has been delivering Dr. Smith's Diaper Ointment ® to retail shelves nationwide has developed a new packaging for its popular dry skin lotion. Betamide, with its unique formulation featuring Urea and Lactic Acid, is now available in a Foot Care package. The new carton with its foot logo is intended for placement in the foot care aisle of retailers.
Betamide features two physician respected ingredients; Urea penetrates the skin to help retain moisture, and Lactic Acid exfoliates dry, rough skin. The lotion is formulated to remain smooth after application, without a tacky feeling. It is intended for thick callused feet, especially callused cracked heels. |

San Antonio— Dr. Smith has become a popular household name to parents with infants and toddlers, according to Information Resources, a consumer data analysis company. The diaper rash remedy created by a pair of San Antonio pharmacists and pediatrician is outpacing familiar diaper rash remedies, and now is distributed nationwide through a quickly growing number of retail chains.
“Dr. Smith's is a one-of-a-kind treatment,” said Henry Rangel, president of Beta Dermaceuticals, Inc., the company that produces, markets and distributes Dr. Smith's Diaper Ointment.
In answer to the demands of physicians and consumers, Dr. Smith's RASH-n-ALL Ointment ® is set to release this fall. This product features Petrolatum, Lanolin and Zinc Oxide to provide an excellent moisture barrier. But Beta Dermaceuticals' believes that what makes Dr. Smith's so popular is its unique blend of ingredients that make the ointment gentle, better smelling and easy to wash off. |

San
Antonio's first baby of 2004 showered with gifts
Dr. Smith's Diaper Ointment welcomes new baby, provides
year's supply of ointment and $500 savings bond.
Dr. Smith's Diaper Ointment joined six local hospitals
in welcoming San Antonio's first birth of 2004, bestowing
a $500 savings bond and year's supply of the diaper rash
ointment as part of the layette presented to the fortunate
mother and child.
"Since San Antonio is our hometown, we wanted to give
back. And what better way for Dr. Smith's to give back
than to honor a mother and child," said Henry Rangel,
president of Beta Dermaceuticals, the marketers of Dr.
Smith's.
Born at 12:01 a.m. January 1, 2004, Madison Anne Gonzalez
kicked her way into the world, making her the first San
Antonio baby born in 2004. Madison weighed 8 1/2 pounds
and was 19 inches long. Proud parents, Monica Gonzalez
and Keith Quigley, were happy, exhausted, and surprised
by her early arrival. She wasn't due until January 6.
"We pay tribute to Madison and her mother and all mothers
everywhere. Without them, heck, none of us would be here,"
said Rangel.
This was the fifth consecutive year San Antonio hospitals
joined forces to honor the city's first baby.
Founded in 1986, San Antonio, Texas-based Beta Dermaceuticals
is a national marketer and distributor of quality, top-of-the-line
dermatological products, including nationally ranked Dr.
Smith's Diaper Ointment. . |
